Schools to Reopen on June 18, Says Education Minister: School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond has announced that schools across the state are scheduled to reopen on June 18. The government has reviewed the current weather conditions before taking the decision, said the minister. However, officials will continue to monitor the situation closely. If temperatures rise sharply again or weather conditions worsen, the government may reconsider its decision and take appropriate steps.
In recent weeks, several areas have experienced fluctuating temperatures, with some regions still facing heatwave conditions. This had raised concerns among parents about the safety of children returning to school.
The minister assured that students’ health and safety will remain the top priority. Schools may be instructed to ensure adequate drinking water, proper ventilation, and other necessary facilities for students.
