Senior BJD leader Sushant Singh passes away at 53: Former Odisha minister Sushant Singh passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday. He had been battling a prolonged illness and was admitted to the hospital. His health deteriorated while undergoing treatment. He breathed his last at the age of 53.
Sushant Singh, a prominent leader from western Odisha, was elected as the MLA from the Bhatli Assembly constituency three times (2009, 2014, and 2019). During his political career, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader held important portfolios in the Odisha government and was widely known for his commitment to public service and development-oriented initiatives in his constituency.
Leaders from the BJD and several other political parties have expressed their condolences and prayed for the eternal peace of his soul.
