Batting first, Hyderabad posted a massive total of 235/4 in 20 overs. In reply, Punjab Kings managed 202/7 despite a fighting century from Cooper Connolly, handing Punjab their third consecutive defeat of the season.
Hyderabad’s batting was powered by explosive knocks from Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan. Klaasen smashed 69 runs off 43 balls with three fours and four sixes, while Kishan added a rapid 55 from just 32 deliveries, including two fours and four sixes. Their aggressive partnership helped SRH pile up a daunting total and put Punjab’s bowlers under immense pressure throughout the innings.
Chasing 236, Punjab Kings suffered an early setback as their opening batters failed to build momentum. However, Cooper Connolly produced a brilliant unbeaten century, scoring 107 runs with seven fours and eight sixes. Despite his heroic effort, Punjab fell short of the target. With the victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad climbed to the top of the points table with 14 points from 11 matches, while Punjab Kings slipped to second place with 13 points after their third straight loss.
