Three Congress MLAs Suspended For Anti-Party Activities In Rajya Sabha Elections

Three Congress MLAs have been suspended for anti-party activities in the Rajya Sabha elections. Sanakhemundi MLA Ramesh Jena, Mohana MLA Dasharathi Gamang and Barabati-Cuttack MLA Sophia Firdos have been suspended. These three MLAs violated the whip and voted for BJP-backed candidates. The Congress media cell chairman said in a press meet that such steps have been taken for violating party discipline and sabotaging the interests of the Congress.

The press meet said, “We worked tirelessly, BJD and Congress also worked hard. But we lost because some MLAs got involved in horse trading. Now they have only been suspended. Further action may be taken, even they may be expelled from the party.”
