Ujjwal Nikam Appointed Special Prosecutor in Ketan Agarwal Murder Case
26/11 Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to Lead Ketan Agarwal Murder Trial: Senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam has been appointed as the Special Public Prosecutor in the Ketan Agarwal murder case in Maharashtra.
Nikam, who is well known for handling the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case and several other high-profile trials, said he accepted the role after a request from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the victim’s family.
Speaking to ANI, Nikam said the murder has shocked the entire country. He added that the police investigation is still in progress, and more details can be shared only after the charge sheet is filed.
The case is related to the alleged murder of 22-year-old Ketan Agarwal in Pune. Police have accused his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, of being involved in the crime.
