Amarnath Yatra 2025: Announced Opening and Closing Dates: Good news for Baba Amarnath devotees. The government has announced the dates for Amarnath Yatra this year. According to the decision of the Mata Vaishno Devi Signboard Committee meeting, devotees can perform Amarnath Yatra from July 3. The yatra will continue till August 9. This year, special arrangements have been made for the devotees by the trust and the government. It has been said that the government will pay special attention to security, accommodation, and food.
Every year, the Kedarnath Yatra lasts for 45 to 60 days. Last year, it started from June 29 and continued till August 19, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Starting from the Pahalgam route, the devotees travel for 48 kilometers. On the other hand, if they go via the Baltal route, the devotees have to cover only 14 kilometers. However, the devotees do not agree to go as this route is too difficult.
Regarding the Amarnath Yatra, the trust and the government will make special arrangements for the food and security of the devotees. There is information that special attention will be paid to security. The meeting was chaired by Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman and Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Parvathi, Chief Secretary Atal Dhulu, and many senior officials participated in it.
