CM reviews Bahuda Yatra preparations, focuses on crowd management: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday reviewed preparations for the upcoming Bahuda Yatra on July 24. He emphasized crowd management and seamless information flow to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival.

Chairing a review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan, the Chief Minister appealed to devotees and pilgrims to strictly follow the guidelines and cooperate with the police and district authorities during the festivities. During the meeting, officials informed the CM that all major rituals associated with the Rath Yatra have been conducted smoothly so far. CM Majhi appreciated the dedication of servitors, officers, and employees for ensuring uninterrupted services despite continuous rainfall, adverse weather, heat, and humidity.

The Chief Minister was informed that the Puri district administration and police are maintaining a high level of alertness, with regular monitoring and smooth management of all arrangements. Majhi instructed officials to strengthen crowd management by adopting scientific methods to assess crowd density. He emphasised that real-time information from CCTV cameras should be integrated with the Integrated Command and Control Centre so that alerts can be immediately communicated to officials at locations facing congestion, enabling quick intervention.

Ahead of major events such as the Bahuda Yatra, Suna Besha, and Niladri Bije, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that all rituals and crowd management arrangements are carried out efficiently and without disruption.
