Four people test positive for Scrub Typhus in Anugola: The Odisha Health Department has confirmed four cases of scrub typhus in Anugola. This prompted the health department to intensify surveillance and preventive measures in the affected area.
The incident has come to light from Sanabagadari village under Khamar CHC in Anugola district. Blood samples of suspected patients have been collected for testing. A health team will visit the village regularly for 15 days to provide treatment and raise awareness.

Local MLA Ashok Mohanty has urged immediate action, warning that tick-borne fever can be dangerous and may cause complications. He said discussions with the administration have ensured that healthcare teams and experts will be sent for testing and monitoring.
The administration has assured that necessary steps are being taken to control the spread and safeguard people in the affected village.
