Harbhajan Singh faces protest after joining BJP
Harbhajan Singh’s house targeted, “traitor of Punjab” written on wall: In a major political development, seven MPs from the Aam Aadmi Party, including Harbhajan Singh and Raghav Chadha, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. The move has created strong reactions in Punjab, with many party workers expressing anger and disappointment. The MPs who switched sides include Swati Maliwal, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, Vikramjeet Sahni, and Rajendra Gupta.
Protests broke out outside Harbhajan Singh’s house in Jalandhar, where AAP workers wrote “traitor” on the walls using spray paint. A video of the incident has gone viral, showing protesters wearing black bands and shouting slogans. Police present at the spot tried to stop them, but the protesters continued. The workers accused the leaders of betraying the trust of Punjab’s people and leaving behind the anti-corruption promise.
Meanwhile, Raghav Chadha made serious allegations against AAP, claiming the party had become corrupt and had compromised its values. This shift has reduced AAP’s strength in the Rajya Sabha from 10 MPs to just 3, marking a significant political setback for the party.
