India’s Big Success In Gaganyaan Mission: The Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO ) has crossed another milestone towards India’s first manned space mission ‘Gaganyaan’ . ISRO authorities confirmed that the second Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-02) held at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on Friday was successfully completed. The test has further strengthened the safety of the astronauts ahead of the historic space mission next year. In this special test, an artificial crew module was dropped from a high altitude by an aircraft to check the performance of the parachute system and the safe landing procedure in the sea.
This success has proven ISRO’s technical expertise and validated the system for the safe return of astronauts in case of emergency. Engineers have extensively tested the parachute deployment process, stability during landing and the ability of the module to land at the designated location. After the successful test, ISRO will now move towards unmanned missions and other technical tests. By sending ‘Gagnauts’ to low Earth orbit through the Gaganyaan mission, India is going to join the list of those few countries in the world, which have the capability to send their own manned spacecraft. ISRO is taking strong steps towards this historic achievement by giving utmost priority to safety standards.
