New LPG Refill Rule: Consumers Must Wait 25 Days for Next Booking
: Millions of households in India depend on LPG cylinders for daily cooking. Due to recent tensions in West Asia and concerns about fuel supply, many people were worried about possible shortages. However, the government has clarified that domestic LPG supply is stable and consumers will not face any shortage.
At the same time, a small change has been made in the refill rule. Earlier, consumers could book the next cylinder after 21 days, but now they must wait at least 25 days after the last booking before ordering a refill.
Gas companies have also introduced several easy ways to book LPG cylinders so that customers can do it quickly from home.
1. Book LPG Cylinder Through WhatsApp
Booking gas through WhatsApp is one of the easiest methods today.
- Send the message from your registered mobile number.
- Indane Gas customers: Send REFILL to 7588888824.
- Bharatgas customers: Send Hi to 1800224344.
- HP Gas customers: Send Hi to 9222201122.
- After sending the message, you will receive instructions and booking confirmation.
2. Booking Through Missed Call
If you don’t have internet access or a smartphone, you can still book gas with a missed call.
- Indane: 8454955555
- Bharat Gas: 7710955555
- HP Gas: 9493602222
After giving the missed call, your booking gets registered and you receive a confirmation SMS.
3. Booking Through Mobile Apps
You can also book cylinders using digital payment apps such as:
- Paytm
- Google Pay
- PhonePe
Steps:
- Open the app.
- Go to Recharge & Pay Bills section.
- Select Book a Cylinder.
- Enter your consumer number or registered mobile number.
- Complete booking and payment online.
4. Booking Through IVRS Call
Gas companies also provide an IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) for booking through a call.
Steps:
- Call the IVRS number from your registered mobile number.
- Follow the voice instructions.
- Select the refill booking option.

5. Booking Through Official Website
Customers who prefer using a browser can book gas cylinders through the official websites of their gas companies.
Steps:
- Visit the company’s website.
- Log in using your consumer number or registered mobile number.
- Select Book Cylinder / Refill Booking.
- You can also make payments and track delivery status online.
