A student has been accused of misconduct at Rayagada Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Institute of Technology in Rayagada. The students are sitting in a protest today after accusing a professor of misconduct. The students are seen protesting in front of the institute, demanding justice.
A first semester student was accused of misbehaving with Professor Pradeep Tripathi by the Mathematics Department.
The students have alleged that no action was taken even after the internal committee’s investigation. On the 25th, a complaint was made to the chairman about a professor misbehaving with a student. A student who had previously complained against the professor in question has revealed that the students were sitting in suspense as no action was taken even after the complaint.
After the incident, the Rayagada police reached the spot. The students have also blocked the gates of the institute and detained other staff members. Rayagada SDP Gourahari Sahu and IIC Prasanna Kumar Behera are interrogating the agitating students. The students are sitting in front of the gate, demanding action against the concerned faculty.
