Team India Players Undergo Fitness Tests After Sri Lanka Series: India won the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka 1-0. India won the first Test in Galle by 165 runs, while the second Test in Colombo ended in a draw.

Just two days after the series, several Indian players reached the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for fitness tests. Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad were among those present.

The fitness tests include the Bronco Test, 2-km run, Yo-Yo Test and cricket-specific running drills.

Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been exempted due to injuries. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna have also been rested because of workload and fatigue.

India’s domestic season begins in September, with a busy schedule ahead, including series against Afghanistan and the West Indies, as well as the Asian Games.
