Twisha Sharma Death Case: Former Miss Pune’s Mysterious Death Sparks Dowry Murder Allegations Against Ex-Judge’s Family
Who Was Twisha Sharma? Inside the Shocking Death Case: Social media has been buzzing after the mysterious death of 33-year-old former “Miss Pune” and content creator Twisha Sharma in Bhopal. Her family has accused her husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, of dowry harassment, mental and physical abuse, and murder.
Police in Madhya Pradesh have formed a six-member SIT to investigate the case. Twisha’s family, unhappy with the investigation, protested outside the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal and demanded a second post-mortem at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
According to police, Twisha met Samarth through a dating app in 2024, and they married in December 2025. On May 12, her body was found hanging at her husband’s home in Katara Hills, Bhopal. She was taken to the hospital by Samarth and Giribala Singh, where doctors declared her dead.
Police have registered a case against Samarth Singh and his parents under sections related to dowry death and harassment. Efforts are underway to arrest Samarth.
Twisha’s family claims she was regularly harassed after marriage and wanted to return to Noida. Her father said he spoke to her for 30 minutes on the night of her death, during which she described the abuse she was facing. Her brother said Twisha’s last call with her mother suddenly disconnected when her husband entered the room.
The family alleges that repeated calls to Twisha and her in-laws went unanswered for some time. Later, they were informed that Twisha was not breathing.
A post-mortem at AIIMS Bhopal reportedly found death due to “strangulation using a ligature” and also noted several injury marks on her body.
Twisha Sharma was a former beauty pageant winner and social media creator known for winning the “Miss Pune” title. Friends described her as confident, ambitious, and active online. She had moved to Bhopal after marrying Samarth Singh in December 2025.
