CM Yogi Adityanath has asked all senior officials to assess the loss of life, livestock, and economic damage caused by heavy rains and lightning strikes.
Yogi assures rain damage Compensation within 24 hours: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to intensify relief and rescue operations amidst the heavy rainfall across Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, a target has also been set to make major roads pothole-free ahead of festive season.
In a view of heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister has asked all senior officials to assess the loss of life, livestock, and economic damage caused by heavy rains and lightning strikes. He directed that all possible assistance be provided to affected families and ensured that the general public does not face any inconvenience due to waterlogging. Officials are directed to accelerate relief operations and ensure that compensation is provided within 24 hours of assessing the damage. Additionally, a target has also been set to make 681 major roads pothole-free ahead of festive season.
Chief Minister reviewed the condition of 4.36 lakh kilometers of roads managed by nine state departments. He directed officials to meet the target of making a total of 50,000 kilometers of roads pothole-free. Yogi instructed officials that road repair work should not be limited to patch work. The Chief Minister has also appealed people not to step out of the house unnecessarily during lightning storms. Avoid bathing in rivers and water bodies during heavy rainfall.
