Moharastra scheme ; know about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana . The “Mukhyamantri – Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” scheme was launched by the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. The scheme aims to give economic freedom to women in the state age group of 21 to 65 years, improving their health and nutrition and strengthening their decisive role in the family. The women will get a financial benefit of ₹1,500/- through direct benefit transfer (DBT).
but now it has come under controversy.
The government is doing cross verification regarding irregularities in it. At the same time, the opposition has alleged that once the elections are over, the matter is over. Also, the state’s Agriculture Minister says that this is affecting the farmers’ loan waiver scheme.
The controversy over the much talked about ‘Majhiladakibahin Yojana ‘ has deepened in Maharashtra. In the assembly elections held 2 months ago, the Mahayuti alliance implemented this scheme in Maharashtra on the lines of MP and used it extensively in the election campaign. Not only this, before the elections, a total of 5 installments of Rs 1500 were deposited in the bank accounts of women and it was claimed that as soon as the election is won, this installment will increase to Rs 2100.
The women of the state made Mahayuti win the elections, but till now the amount of Rs 2100 has not come in their account. The Agriculture Minister of the state even said that the loan waiver scheme of farmers is getting affected due to the Ladki Bahin scheme. The ‘Majhiladki Bahin Yojana’ started by the Maharashtra government has now come under controversy. It was promised in the assembly elections that after winning the elections, the amount of this scheme would be increased from 1500 to 2100. But as soon as the elections were won, the investigation of the beneficiaries of this scheme was started.
There is no need to worry about this process – Aditi Tatkare
It is alleged that a large number of women registered twice under this scheme and took money twice. 4 to 5 women from the same household took advantage of this scheme. Those who have 4 wheelers also became beneficiaries and those who got married and moved to another state also became beneficiaries of this scheme. Not only this, those whose annual income is more than 2.5 lakhs are also taking advantage of this scheme. Now the government machinery is making a list of such beneficiaries and removing them from this scheme.
So far, more than 1.5 crore women have joined this scheme, while after sorting the list, this number will be reduced by about 25 lakhs. At the same time, the state’s Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare says that eligible beneficiaries need not worry about the cross verification process. Aditi Tatkare said that in the last 2 months we have received some complaints about the Ladki Behan Yojana beneficiaries, on the basis of which cross verification will be done. The help of the IT department is being taken. Cross verification of Aadhaar cards will be done.
He said that eligible beneficiaries need not worry about this process. Our aim is that maximum beneficiaries get the benefit of the scheme. But the complaints we have received need to be resolved. The aim of this scheme is to empower the women of the state and provide them financial assistance. Those whose family’s annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
The opposition and the state agriculture minister also made the allegation
Many controversies have surfaced over the Maharashtra government’s ‘Majhiladakibahin Yojana’. Opposition parties allege that the scheme was launched without proper scrutiny for electoral gains, due to which ineligible beneficiaries also benefited from it. Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that the government distributed money to beneficiaries without strictly enforcing the criteria to get votes. Raut says, ‘It was just an election slogan, votes were taken by giving money before the elections, after that the matter ended.’
At the same time, Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate also alleged that due to the Ladki Behan Yojana, many schemes for the benefit of farmers were closed. He accused his own government of distributing 45 thousand crores on the Ladki Behan Yojana and 15 thousand crores on the Kisan Karz Yojana every year. Now if our ministry gets more money, we will be able to give the benefit of Kisan Samman Yojana to the farmers. Anyway, women take the money of this scheme and spend it only on debauchery.
He said, ‘You all know that we also have women in our house. The money given to women is now spent only on debauchery. The money of Ladki Behan Yojana was also diverted. Take this for the children, take that for them. Useless expenditure, nothing else.’ He says that the women who are taking government money in the Ladli Behan Yojana should not take money in the Kisan Samman Yojana. Tell me how can a woman take advantage of two government schemes? The government should bring a GR on this.
