Delhi techie beaten to death by In-laws: A 31-year-old software engineer was beaten to death over a family dispute. The family members of the deceased have accused his in-laws of the murder. Police have taken 4 accused into custody.

According to sources the shocking incident has come to light from Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area. The victim has been identified as Vinay Gupta(31). He was married to Rekha, a homemaker around three and a half years ago. The couple has twin children, a boy and a girl. Vinay was employed as a software engineer in Noida.

According to Vinay’s mother, a dispute broke out between Vinay and Rekha over an issue. Rekha became angry after Vinay spoke to her in a raised voice. Following the argument, she left the house. on Friday, she returned with 6-7 family members to resolve the dispute and negotiate. Vinay’s mother had gone to get some snacks for the guests. Meanwhile, during the conversation, the in-laws assaulted and attacked Vinay inside the house. He was seriously injured after the attack. After Vinay’s mother came home, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

It is also alleged that the couple had been experiencing disputes over minor issues. Police have arrested four accused persons in connection with the incident. Those arrested include Vinay’s wife Rekha, her two brothers, and another accused.

A forensic team also reached the scene and collected evidence. A case is being registered under several sections in connection with the incident. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and the role of the accused persons.
