GT Defeat RCB By 8 Wickets In IPL 2025 Match 14: Following two successive victories, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were defeated. They lost against the Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. RCB has moved down from the top to number three in the points table after being humbled by a resounding defeat in the 14th match of the current IPL on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans have consolidated their fourth place in the standings with their second victory in the third match. RCB had given a target of 170 runs to be won. Gujarat reached there in 17.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets. Jos Buttler scored 73*. RCB, asked to bat having won the toss, were unsettled right from the beginning by the three pacers of Gujarat Titans Mohammad Siraj, Avesh Khan and Ishant Sharma.

RCB were in danger after losing Virat Kohli (7) for 8 runs and impact player Devdutt Poojakal (4) for 12 runs. Phil Salt was unable to proceed further after 14 runs. They were struggling during the power play, losing 3 wickets for only 38 runs, and the failure of captain Rajat Patidar (12) placed the team in serious trouble. In the process, Liam Livingstone (54 runs off 40 balls) and Jitesh Sharma (33) attempted to rectify the situation by putting on 52 runs for the fifth wicket. But Sai Kishore broke the duo after only 10 runs, sending Jitesh back with his astute spin cycle. Livingstone’s stint was also cut short in the last over, as Tim David made 32 runs from 18 balls to help RCB reach 169/8.
