A 71-year-old was beaten by daughter-in-law with a wooden plank: A 71-year-old mother-in-law was allegedly beaten by her daughter-in-law for asking her to wake up early in the morning. The injured mother-in-law has lodged a complaint with the police.
The incident occurred in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district. The victim(mother-in-law) has been identified as Suvarna Nachre. According to the victim’s complaint, as the paddy planting season was going on, her daughter-in-law, Mayuri Darshan Nachre, had to work in the paddy fields. So, she tried to wake her early in the morning. Both had a heated argument regarding this matter. The daughter-in-law got so angry that she first verbally abused and then beat her with a wooden plank. Suvarna sustained injuries during the attack.
The police filed a complaint against the accused daughter-in-law based on Suvarna Nachre’s complaint. The police said that an investigation is being conducted to find out the circumstances surrounding the incident.
