A double murder case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district. The victims were identified as Gangasharan(55) and his wife Vimlesh(50). According to locals, the couple was residing in the Crossing Republic area. They had 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, and all of them were married. Gangasaran ran a newspaper agency. Both sons were unemployed and had children. The father repeatedly urged his sons to find jobs, and this often caused disputes in the family. Apart from this, both brothers often assaulted their wives while intoxicated. Because of this, both wives went to their parental homes long ago.

On late Monday night quarrelling, shouting and screaming sounds were heard from the house, said locals. A tenant called the police and reported the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and found the couple lying on the ground with injuries on their heads and hands bleeding. Police immediately sent the injured husband and wife to the hospital. During the treatment, the doctors declared them dead. The bodies have been sent for autopsy and reports are awaited. The accused were identified as Lalit(27) and Deepak(25). Both brothers are in police custody and further investigations are on.

DCP Rural Surendranath Tiwari said that the two sons are being interrogated separately. The real reason for the murder has not yet been revealed. But a property dispute is suspected.
