SEBI approves SBI Mutual Fund IPO: India’s largest asset management company, SBI Funds Management, has received SEBI’s approval for an IPO. The IPO is worth around Rs 13,000 crore. The IPO is expected to be launched next month.

According to SEBI’s website, the approval was given on June 12, 2026. SBI Funds Management filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI on March 19, 2026. The IPO will be fully Offer-for-Sale (OFS). In this, 20.37 crore equity shares will be offered for sale by promoters and existing investors. No new shares will be issued. In this IPO, promoters of SBI Mutual Fund, State Bank of India (SBI), and Amundi India Holding will sell their stake.

Currently, SBI Mutual Fund Company is managing approximately Rs 12.70 lakh crore of investors ‘ money. No other mutual fund company in the country has this much AUM (Assets Under Management). This shows how much confidence investors have in this mutual fund company. SBI Funds Management Limited is a joint venture between SBI and Amundi of Paris, in which SBI holds a 61.98% stake and Amundi holds 36.40%.
