India posted a huge score of 457 runs to win against the England women’s cricket team. England’s women’s team was all out for 186 runs.
Indian Women’s Cricket Team created history at Lord’s, defeating England by 270 runs. India defeated England by 270 runs in the first-ever Women’s Test held at Lord’s on Monday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated the Indian Women’s Cricket Team.
India posted a huge score of 457 runs to win against the England women’s cricket team. England’s women’s team was all out for 186 runs. Smriti Mandhana played an amazing innings for Team India and scored 83 runs. Apart from them, Harmanpreet Kaur (58) and Deepti Sharma (57) also scored half centuries. In response to India’s 285 runs, England’s team managed just 170 runs.
Yastika Bhatia scored a century for Team India in the second innings after gaining a lead of 115 runs in the first innings. He scored 113 runs off 158 balls. Apart from them, Smriti Mandhana (70) and Richa Ghosh (50*) scored half centuries. India declared their innings at 341/7 and set England a target of 457 runs.
England flopped with the bat in the second innings as well. The team was reduced to just 186 runs and India won the match by 270 runs. Sneh Rana bowled brilliantly for India and took 4 wickets. Apart from them, Sayali Satghare, Kranti Gaur and Deepti Sharma got 2 wickets each. The Indian team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, recorded a historic win at Lord’s for the first time. As for the men’s team, they have won three Test matches at Lord’s.
